In 1998, Landmark
started a separate division called The Minnesota Clerical
Center. As the name implies, MCC is designed to provide staffing
support for the clerical needs of the market. Currently, MCC
has an office in the Energy Park Area.
We believe the
key to successfully filling positions hinges on the relationship
with the client. In order to have consistent success, it important
that everyone is on the same page from the beginning. We believe
that success starts when everyone communicates effectively.
As an example, a frequent concern with any client is expectations.
When we look at a situation with a client, we focus our energy
on working in partnership with them to get the best talent
available in this market. Many clients we talk to are initially
frustrated by the process because they are used to a system
that is designed to identify only ideal candidates. In doing
so, they overlook willing, able and eager people that are
capable of fulfilling their needs. We believe that candid,
open discussion of these needs and the best way to fill them
not only reduces frustration but allows the process to be
more convenient and less expensive for them.
The final piece
of the puzzle is a simple, but often forgotten concept: customer
service. We believe that outstanding customer service is the
signature quality at Landmark. We also believe that customer
satisfaction is the bottom line, and we will go to any lengths
to achieve it.
The Minnesota
Clerical Center uses an industry specific software package
that allows us to provide the best possible service for our
employees and our client companies. The software is inclusive
and handles everything from our in-house payroll system and
benefits administration to tracking hours, job performance,
and customer preferences. The system also allows all of our
offices to have real time information, as they are networked
into the same system.

DATABASE SYSTEM
The
first database houses the information pertaining to our client
companies and includes:
- Client names
and addresses
- Locations
- Pay rates
and bill rates
- Client history
- Contacts
- Job descriptions
- Skill sets
- Open orders
The second database
houses the information pertaining to our employees and includes:
- Interview
results
- Physical
restrictions/requirements
- Test scores
- Skill sets
- Prior work
history
- Attendance
- Supervisor

The
unique characteristic of our system is the matching process
that is performed between the two databases. We are able to
take the skills required for any job and plug them into the
employee database and within minutes have a list of all the
qualified candidates in our database. This allows us to greatly
shorten the time spent on the initial search, allowing us
to devote more time to reviewing a candidates prior
history, work preferences, and job qualifications.
